Minutes of the meeting held on the 21st October 2009 at

The Methodist Hall, Chittlehampton. 7.30p.m.

 

Those present: Councillor Mrs M Edwards (Chairman),Councillors  Mrs A Davies (Vice Chairman) Mr M Ives, Mr I Rutland, Mr D Reed,   Mr G Williams, Mrs S Brooks, Mrs L Sherwood, and Mrs R Warren (Clerk)

 

Councillor Richard Edgell attended the meeting and left at 8pm.

MATTERS ARISING

 

 

Pigeon Shoot:  Emma Ingle has spoken to the planning department and they have agreed to send us monthly updates.

 

Boundary Review:   Mrs Warren to write for an update.

  

Highway Matters:   Mrs Warren to report the poor state of the road through Chittlehampton Village. Mrs Warren has reported the problems of the footpath at Umberleigh. The council replied that they were aware and action is trying to be taken to resolve the problems. Mrs Warren to write to network rail asking for the lights at the entry of the station to be turned off at night.

 

Affordable Housing:  Mrs Warren has spoken to Collin Savage and he is still actively looking for sites.

 

Emergency Plans:  A meeting has been held regarding the mail shot and this is being organised by the sub-committee.

 

 Defibrillator: The defibrillator has been purchased and it was agreed to purchase the storage box.  

 

 

 

Correspondence: Correspondence received has been dealt with.

 

Finance:                              £744.62 British Heart Foundation.  Purchase

                                                             of defibrillator.  

                                           £630.00 Mr R Newton. Grass cutting.

                                            

                                         

Payments received:          £860.00 Parish Grant.

                                         £3109.00 Precept.

                                            

Planning Decisions:

Ref no: 48917. First floor extension with balcony to dwelling at Well Orchard House, South Bray, Chittlehampton, Umberleigh.

Decision: Granted.

Ref no: 48892. Extension to Village Hall to provide shower/changing room at Chittlehampton Village Hall, Chittlehampton.

Decision: Granted.

 

 

Any other Business

 

The Chairman reported that an informal meeting had taken place to discuss possible improvements to St Urith’s Well. Further research is to be carried out and another meeting will be held shortly. Martin Ives volunteered to do the reading at this years Remembrance Service.

 

The meeting ended at 8.35 pm. The next meeting will be on Wednesday the 2nd December 2009 at 7.30pm at the Methodist Hall Chittlehampton.
